Celebrating Kushe Amawasya & Fathers Day with Service to Elders

🌿 Service Project with Fellowship
Rotary Club of Central Lumbini conducted its 422nd regular meeting in a unique way by blending fellowship with service. The meeting was hosted at Satya Sai Old Age Home, Balapur, Bhairahawa on the auspicious occasion of Kushe Aamawasya and Father’s Day (Buwa Ko Mukh Herne Din).
💙 Extending Love and Care
On this culturally significant day, Rotarians handed over food, groceries, warm shawls, and cash donations to the senior citizens residing in the ashram. The initiative symbolized Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self while also respecting Nepal’s rich cultural traditions of honoring elders.
🗣 Voices of Gratitude
President Rtn. Bishnu Sharma expressed his joy in aligning a regular meeting with a meaningful service project, remarking that “blessings of elders enrich every Rotarian family.” The ashram coordinator Ms. Maya Kharel conveyed heartfelt gratitude for Rotary’s humanitarian efforts, while Past President Krishna Prasad Pandey highlighted the cultural significance of this day. Charter President Bimal Senchury extended a vote of thanks, and Special Guest Mr. Choplal Pandey praised Rotarians’ involvement in serving humanity.

The formal program was conducted by Secretary Rtn. Basu Badal, and attended by 15+ Rotarians including Past Presidents Heera Bahadur Shah, Prem Sharma, Past Secretary Gangadhar Bhandari, Treasurer Upendra Yadav, Rtn. Sunil Sethiyaa, Rtn. Ram Thapa, Rtn. Rajesh Agrahari, Rtn. Shanti Sharma, and Rtn. Sweta Badal. The event created cherished moments of love, respect, and blessings, leaving smiles on the faces of senior citizens.
